TECHNOLOGY & LEARNING

At Lincoln Academy, we strongly believe in seamlessly integrating technology into the daily learning experiences of both teachers and students. To facilitate this, every student at our school has access to an age-appropriate device at all times. In the early grades, from kindergarten to third grade, each student is provided with their own iPad, tailored to their age and learning needs. As students progress to grades 4 and 5, they receive their own Chromebook laptops, offering enhanced capabilities that allow for collaborative online activities with classmates and easy sharing of their work with teachers.

Upon entering secondary school, students are expected to bring their personal laptops to school, which they use throughout the entire school day and take home in the evenings. In grades 6 to 8, Chromebooks are utilized extensively for online learning, communication with teachers, and collaborative group work with peers. As students advance to high school, we recognize their maturity and allow them the autonomy to choose a device that suits their individual learning styles. This approach empowers them, especially as they enter the diploma program, to create their own personalized online learning environments.

To ensure the smooth functioning of our technology-driven education, a dedicated team of IT professionals manages the backend infrastructure, while educational technology support staff provide assistance to both students and teachers within the classrooms. This comprehensive support system enables us to maintain a dynamic and innovative learning environment where technology seamlessly integrates into the educational process.
