WELCOME TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
It is my pleasure to welcome new and returning families to the 2022 – 2023 school year. With great pride and excitement.
As a learning community, our mission is to engage in real-world learning opportunities, empower learners to take action, and foster belonging and personal growth.
This grand endeavor is embraced with pride in lincoln academy history and enthusiasm for the potential ahead. While welcoming future challenges, we cherish and celebrate the traditions of the past. Our talented staff, involved parents and committed students unite to make Lincoln Academy a vibrant, unique, thriving community.
Upon visiting our oceanside campus, you will observe our mission, each statement in its unique form, as they come alive in all aspects of learning and our day. Throughout the elementary division, children and adults identify and demonstrate respect, responsibility, open-mindedness, courageousness, kindness, and safety.
Our learner-centered approach is grounded in an american standards-based curriculum, blending workshop, and inquiry-based approaches to teaching and learning. We provide a robust experience in the core curricula of english language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. Lincoln academy educators purposefully plan for, implement, and assess standards-based instruction to ensure each child’s individual growth, focusing on the whole child’s development.
The arts and physical activity are also foundational elements of learning at lincoln academy. Children learn from content-area specialists developing skills in music, art, and physical education. Although english is the primary language of instruction, learners actively participate in french and arabic classes throughout the week, with the addition of moroccan studies to bring appreciation and awareness to the culture and country in which we live. Students engage with our learning commons to grow their love for reading, explore through the maker space, and enhance their digital literacy skills. Our learning community constantly increases capacities in self-regulation, collaboration, organization, and reflection skills that scaffold children’s development.
